ACL Member Jenny Andrus Has a New Picture Book: Longtime ACL member Jenny Andrus has a new picture book out entitled Elsa’s Chessboard (Neal Porter Books, 04/2025), with illustrations by Julie Downing. The story is based on Andrus’s grandmother, who learned to play chess before coming to America to escape the Holocaust.
