Cats Storytime – Revised

Bently, Peter. I Am Cat! Using a snappy rhyme, a cat demonstrates what it does all day.
Cooper, Elisha. Big Cat, Little Cat. This Caldecott Honor book focuses on a friendship between two cats.
Dean, Kim. Pete the Cat Screams for Ice Cream! Pete can’t wait for the ice cream truck to come.
Emmons, Lauren. No Cats in the Library. A cat gets into the library through the bookdrop and becomes a “Read to Our Cat” volunteer.
Flake, Sharon. You Are Not a Cat! A duck insists he is a cat, so the cat offers many examples of why that is not true.
Gravett, Emily. 10 Cats. Listeners can call out the number and color highlighted in this dual concept book.
Hokkanen, Mirka. Kitty and Cat. Opposites Attract. The title felines demonstrate opposites in this hilarious story. Also see the companion book Kitty and Cat. Bent Out of Shape.
Obuhanych, Karen. This Little Kitty. In this rhyming story, a litter of kittens make a mess. Pair with the nursery rhyme “Three Little Kittens.”
Savage, Stephen. Rescue Cat. Butterscotch jumps through the TV screen to rescue a lion cub in this intriguing story.
Tracy, Kristen. Cat’s Very Good Day. A humorous, rhyming story of a cat’s busy day.
Wilson, Troy. Hat Cat. A small cat goes outside to explore in this story with repetition.
