Jacqueline Woodson Wins National Book Award: Jacqueline Woodson’s memoir in verse, Brown Girl Dreaming, won in the Young People’s Literature category at the 65th National Book Awards on November 19, 2014. California Summer Reading Article: Eva Mitnick, coordinator of children’s services at Las Angeles Public Library, has written a very helpful article on the 2015 summer reading program, “Read to the Rhythm.” She recounts the workshop held last week at the Calif.
