Eric Carle Dies at 91
Noted children’s book author and illustrator Eric Carle died on May 23, 2021, at age 91. Best known for The Very Hungry Caterpillar (1969), he contributed to more than 70 books, including Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? written by Bill Martin, Jr. He died at home surrounded by his family.
