DO IT YOURSELF PROGRAMMING
“Captain Underpants” Movie Showing and Activities
The film adaptation of “Captain Underpants” was released in theaters this summer to positive reviews. When it comes out on DVD, hold a “Captain Underpants” library program to draw in library patrons.
Celebrate the film with a movie showing augmented with crafts and games to make it an all-day event! Here are some programming ideas to make it a fun day:
Icebreaker: As guests enter, have each make a nametag with their Professor Poopypants name: www.pilkey.com/#fun-stuff . Check out this website for other printables, games, and ideas.
Refreshments Near a display of “Captain Underpants” books available for check-out, offer a snack of root beer, popcorn, and Tootsie Rolls.

Have players toss waded up toilet paper into the Turbo Toilet, standing 6 feet away.
