Light - Revised

Becker, Aaron. You Are Light. When you hold this book up to the light, the colors in the translucent inserts change and glow, showing what sunlight can do.
Coppo, Marianna. Ray. Ray the lightbulb lives in a closet until a little boy puts him in a lantern and takes him outside.
Layton, Christine. Light Speaks. This salute to light and how it is shown is explained in a poetic text.
Matheson, Christie. One Light. In this circular story, after a blackout, Mouse lights a small lantern. As each animal sees it, they also light lanterns that end up lighting up the sky.
Moon, Emily Kate. Ray: How Light Works. A ball of light named Ray describes how light works.
Paolilli, Paul. Nightlights. A father takes his daughters out at night to explore the night sky.
Pfeffer, Wendy. Light Is All Around Us. In this “Let’s Read and Find Out” science book, the properties of light are described simply.
Sheppard, Markette. What Is Light? Using a brief rhyming text, this describes many sources of light in the world.
Stutzman, Jonathan. Tiny T. Rex and the Very Dark Dark. The title character plans a nighttime camping trip, but when the lantern doesn’t work, he discovers the light from the stars.
Yoon, Susan. Gwendolyn and the Light. A creature asks other nocturnal beings about what light is and learns about friendship.
