In this clever story, the buttons are those to push to hear a sound, not buttons on clothing. Each button is a different color and shape; for example, “Here’s a red button. I wonder what happens when you press it? Beep!” Other buttons get the animals to clap, sing, bounce, hug, or tickle, which will motivate storytime listeners to do the same. Even though the buttons are only pictured, not actual buttons to push, this is fun. The soft gray and pastel-colored artwork on white backgrounds show a group of animals playing in a park. Although the text doesn’t spell out the names of the shapes, the caregiver reading the story can do so. An original interactive story that is perfect for both storytimes as well as home use with a repetitive text.
