When a new baby brother joins the family, big sister plays the “Baby Big Girl Game” and realizes just how much she has grown. This picture book about love, family, and growing up is filled with the silly and sweet moments that happen throughout one child’s day. Simmons’ rhyming dialogue is easily read and would be great for storytime, while Birkett’s colorful illustrations do a magnificent job depicting a biracial family with an African American mom and a white dad. First published in Great Britain in 2017, I’m Big Now! is a fun picture book that is sure to delight children, especially those with little siblings of their own who will likely relate to big sister as she discovers she will always have a special place in her family no matter what changes come her way.
