This dinosaur-based series includes twelve books, with one to two sentences per page for new readers. Within the text, captions have questions for an adult to ask the child as they read. Much of the text is a description of the physical features of the dinosaur. Text color is black on a white page to make it easier for new readers to decipher and is accompanied by computer-generated illustrations. Each book in the series ends by reminding readers that the dinosaur is extinct and that dinosaur bones can be useful in helping determine how the dinosaur lived. Back matter includes an index, photo acknowledgements, a glossary, additional resources, and a STEM Snapshot intended for educators to spur discussion with students.
