Blob is an ambiguous being who can be any shape it wants (like Rock Star, mouse, panda, cloud, scuba diver). The narrator keeps calling Blob “Bob” and is frequently corrected by Blob as it explores the various possible shapes. Blob explains it can be anything it wants, but mainly it just wants to be itself. Appert’s Procreate® digital illustrations use subdued colors to focus on the mostly white blob (with yellow hair-like strands all over) and the many nifty things it can be. Most collections can use more titles about what it means to be oneself, no matter what that may be.
