Check out the California Library Association’s Summer Reading Program planning website: www.cla-net.org/displaycommon.cfm?an=1&subarticlenbr=684 .
It includes the power point presentations from the recent CLA Conference, where members talked about the upcoming 2014 theme “Paws to Read.” There is a wealth of ideas here, including tween programming ideas from our member Laurie Willhalm. Also, thanks for the shout-out to ACL’s Bayviews.org website from Nicole Powell, who mentioned us in her presentation.
The Association of Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, has released new lists of graphic novels for children. The lists are arranged by grade, and can be printed from ALA’s website: www.ala.org/alsc/graphicnovels2013 .
The lists are available in both color and black and white, and are up-to-date with many 2013 titles.
