Water / Science

Last month we offered some storytime themes to coincide with the 2010 Summer Reading theme "Make a Splash - Read!" Here are a few more storytime themes that celebrate water:

   A picture book that explains the water cycle, from rain to ocean.

McKee, David. ELMER'S WEATHER.
   Elmer the Elephant experiences all types of weather. Available in a Spanish/English edition.

Rogers, Paul. WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE TODAY?
   A rhyming story about the weather.

Schaefer, Lola. THIS IS THE RAIN.
   A cumulative story about how rain reaches the sea.

Weigelt, Udo. ALL-WEATHER FRIENDS.
   Moss the frog cannot predict the weather, even though his friends believe he can.
