Preschool Storytime Ideas

Spiders

This issue we will conclude our listing of storytime themes relating to Catch the Reading Bug, the 2008 Summer Reading Program. Save these for future storytimes on the environment and science.

The kids can shout out the animal noises when you present this book with repetition.

McDermott, Gerald. ANANSI THE SPIDER.
In this West African folktale, Anansi and his sons place the Moon in the sky.

Wishinsky, Frieda. NOTHING SCARES US.
With Lucy's help, Lenny learns not to be afraid of spiders.

A boy out hiking sees a spider spinning her web.
